OVERALL QUESTIONS

  1. Why is the rice husk a perfect component of a composite material?

    Rice husk is a natural waste + a renewable resource. It consists of silica which is the best thing a nature has invented to prevent moisture absorption. In comparison to wood which is made of celulouse - thanks to the fact it does not absorb water - even without impregnation - it does not age. This is why profiles made of RESYSTA which consists in 60% of rice husk are a perfect choice for outside applications.

  2. How does RESYSTA protect the natural enviroment?

    Rice husk which is the main component of RESYSTA is a natural waste which has no other use. Taking in that every day an tropical forest area of a size of a football field is being cut, when deciding to use RESYSTA you save the worlds most valuable resource - wood. Even though our profiles have the look and feel of tropical wood the material does not consist of it. Further more RESYSTA is 100% recyclable what means that every waste that is created during production or installation is being recycled and used for new production. 

TERRACES

  1. Can I install RESYSTA terrace without underconstruction (runners)?

    No, it is cruicial to install our terrace profiles on runners because due to thermal expansion profiles can bend at the ends.

  2. Do I have to use the runners offered by CROSWOOD?

    No. Other, offered by the market runners can be used. However the durability of the runners must be considered before purchase. It is cruicial to use runners that will have a very high liveliness without impregnation/oiling. It is also cruicial to install RESYSTA profiles with accordance to instruction manuals created for the system.

  3. Can floor/terrace systems made of RESYTA be used inside?

    Profiles made of RESYSTA can be used inside and outside. Systems must be installed accordingly to the provided installation guide.

  4. What is the warranty for profiles made of RESYSTA?

    For profiles made of RESYSTA composite material a 15-year warranty is granted. Further feedback can be found in the Warranty Card in the DOWNLOAD section.

  5. What screws shoud I use when installing floors made of RESYSTA?

    For installation of the terraces a stainless screws should be used offered by CROSWOOD. Also other screws available on the market can be easily used - their durability should be considered though before purchase.

  6. Are RESYSTA profiles delivered in any colour?

    As a standard our profiles are delivered in natural colour (only sanded). In such case the customers applies the provided by CROSWOOD FVG type paint and RFS/RCC type varnish by himself. The paint and varnish can be purchased separately. The applying of the paint and varnish must be done with accordance to the instruction manuals which can be found in the DOWNLOAD section. As a special order we can deliver profiles which have been already painted and varnished in our warehouse.

  7. How can I get rid of stains from my RESYSTA terrace?

    Due to the RESYSTA composition our profiles do not absorb any water based fluids. Standard stains and dirt can be easily cleaned with a use of a wet cloth. If stronger stains occur - dirty surface can be gently sanded and the FVG paint and RFS/RCC varnish must be applied on the sanded surface. 

  8. Can I use RESYSTA profiles around pool area?

    RESYSTA has a unique quality thanks to which it does not absorb moistore (it doesent matter whether it is sweet, salty or chlorinated water). Moisture has no effect on the material. An important advantage of RESYSTA profiles is their antislip properties. The wet surface of the profiles increases the surface adhesion, making it possible to safely move around on when wet. Additionally, terrace boards made of durable composite RESYSTA can be easilly thermoformed at a temperature of around 130C, giving them a shape suitable for oval pools or jacuzzis. All these features make the terrace profiles made of RESYSTA an ideal material especially in places exposed to high moisture like outside terraces, pools, sea-facing jetties or yachts.

  9. Is it possible to change the colour of my RESYSTA profiles?

    The colour of RESYSTA profiles can be changed at any time. The surface needs to be sanded or riffled and afterwards on the surface and FVG type paint and RFS type varnish need to be applied. Please contact your local RESYSTA representative before any work to get more feedback on how should it be done.

  10. How often should I refresh  the colour of my RESYSTA terrace?

    The dyes used for colouring of RESYSTA profiles contain high quality UV blockers that prevent the colour from fading. A 15-year colour fading is granted when using FVG paints and RFS/RCC varnishes. Low-used surfaces need to be cleaned from time to time with water. Refreshing worn-out surfaces can be carried out by sanding it with sandpaper and applying FVG and RFS lacquer as often as needed. In order to maintain uniform color of the terrace at selective coloring of the surface, before applying the paint dilute it with water, choosing the right color shade to the rest of the terrace.

FACADES

  1. What qualities does RESYSTA have in comparison to wood?

    RESYSTA does not conatin wood, thanks to which it does not absorb water.Resysta nie zawiera w sobie drewna, dzięki czemu nie wchłania wody. It does not swell, rot or crumble. Also due to high mechanical durability and its thermal stability our products are a suitbale for daily use. Furthermore when using RESYSTA profiles we save rain forests from being cut.

  2. How ofted do I have to impregnate facade made of RESYSTA?

    Profiles made of RESYSTA which have been painted with FVG paints and sealded with RFS varnish do not have to be impregnated. This is due to RESYSTA's high resistance to all atpospheric conditions.

  3. What are the standard warranty terms for facades made of RESYSTA?

    For profiles made of RESYSTA we give a 15-year warranty for the material itself and the colour fading. Further feedback can be found on our site in the Download tab.

  4. What do I do with RESYSTA leftovers?

    RESYSTA material used in our profiles is 100% recyclable. In order to protect the environment, we recommend that the waste be returned directly to us. Subject to a special process, they can be reused in production. Do not throw them away or burn them.

  5. Is the facade made of RESYSTA and the material itself harmful to health?

    RESYSTA is not harmful to health and does not release any undesirable substances. For more information, please refer to the report prepared by Dr. Karl Statter in the Download tab.

MARINE

  1. It is very important for me to have RESYSTA profiles look and feel like exotic wood. Is that possible?

    Yes - RESYSTA profiles can not only look like but also, thanks to special preparation they ave the feel of exotic wood.

  2. Will the colour of my profiles fade due to long exposure to sunlight?

    High mechanical, chemical and thermal resistance make RESYSTA appearance virtually unchanged for years under atmospheric conditions. Different temperatures, moisture or UV rays - RESYSTA is resistant to all those facotrs.

  3. RESYSTA is fully synthetic. Can I expect faster material wear after a prolonged period of use?

    The resilient nature of the material is its bipolarity - the surface does not absorb water (it behaves the same with fresh, salty and chlorinated water). In addition, when RESYSTA gets wet is becomes more non-slip material. Thanks to these properties, it is particularly suitable for use in the construction of  for example cruise ships, where durability and high traction are important for passenger safety.

  4. Buying a boat is connected to high costs. What about the durability of RESYSTA used in marine section?

    All listed properties are pulled into durability of the material conncted with with minimal effort in sustaining a perfect look. 

  5. Teak wood has prticular density and weight which need to be considered when building a boat. What about RESYSTA?

    Lower density and weight of used materials lead to lower durability. Resysta has higher density and weight than teak wood but thanks to its properities you are able to use thinner layer of the material. Thanks to this you can enjoy all advantages of your RESYSTA deck and do not have to worry about the weight.

  6. Can RESYSTA be used indoors? Is the material safe for human health?

    RESYSTA is 100% safe for human health. bezpieczna dla zdrowia. Material does not emit any substances that pose a threat to man. RESYTA has been thoroughly tested in this regard and is approved for use both inside and outside applications in many countries, including in Poland. PZH (Polish Hygiene Union) certificate for RESYSTA composite products is available in the Download tab. ATTENTION - Do not burn RESYSTA wastes!

  7. Is RESYSTA safe for natural enviroment?

    Today, the sustainability of synthetic products is of great importance. RESYSTA is 100% recyclable, which means it can be reused again for the production of composite profiles. It consists of about 60% of rice husk - renewable natural waste, about 22% of salt and about 18% of mineral oil. As the material does not contain wood, there is no need for fungal and insecticidal preparations. Unlike other composite materials, RESYSTA actively contributes to the rescue of rain forests.

  8. Is decking the only application for RESYSTA?

    Decking is just the beginning when it comes to RESYSTA marine applications. As it is a highly durable and 100% safe for health, it can also be used to decorate the interior of the boat, which we want to give a noble, wooden appearance. RESYSTA is the perfect choice for wall and ceiling coverings, blinds or furniture. As RESYSTA profiles are made in the extrusion process we can use the appropriate mold (extrusion head) to get the desired shape.

  9. Is there a major difference between wood and RESYSTA treatment and installation that needs to be taken into account?

    RESYSTA can be treated (cut, drilled, glued etc.) just like wood - with one exception - you do not use nails. Due to high density of the material tools used for its machining like drills, screws or cutters must have improved abrasion resistance. RESYSTA profile installation should be done in accordance to installation guides provided by the seller and in consideration of the materials thermal expansion.
