Universal profiles

Whether you need solid or chambered profiles, we invite you to check Croswood’s range of universal profiles. Our products are the perfect solutions for people lookin for a material with a wide range of applications – from profiles for benches, dividers and fences, to profiles for waste bin coverings. The profiles do not differ in processing from hard exotic wood profiles and can be cut, sanded and drilled without any problems. Thanks to the use of a durable and water-resistant Croswood composite material based on rice husks, the profiles perfectly fit any application, including projects that are particularly exposed to humidity, such as facades and garden furniture, but also “boathouses” or garage doors.

Did you know?

An interesting feature of our composites is that they can be thermoformed. As a result, we are able to supply profiles bent into a curve pre-defined by the customer (to be used, for example, as handrails or decorative elements).

Urban architecture

Urban architecture is an especially demanding segment of urban planning – it is necessary to use materials of the highest quality to ensure the durability and strength of the elements, which will, after all, be used every day by a large number of people. Materials such as wood require regular maintenance and protection from hazards such as humidity or weather, while composites scare off with their “plastic” appearance.

Croswood composite profiles do not contain wood, and instead use rice husk, which means that the material is not only eco-friendly, but also extremely resistant to atmospheric agents such as the sun, rain, snow and water in any form (also salt and chlorinated). Thanks to its unique structure and components, Croswood does not require any maintenance – it does not absorb water, so it does not need any impregnation or oiling, which makes it an extremely low-maintenance alternative to other materials. Moreover, thanks to the fact that rice husks occur in various – light or dark – shades, the material retains

At the same time, thanks to the heterogeneity of the colour of the rice husk, i.e. its occurrence in different – lighter or darker – shades, the material retains the aesthetics and beauty of exotic wood, and at the same time is available in a wide range of colours. What is more, the colour is not artificially duplicated, hence each composite profile can slightly differ in shade, so that the profiles are extraordinarily similar to exotic wood.

Croswood profiles are the perfect choice while designing elements such as benches, seatings, dividers, or waste bin coverings, as many of our partners that operate in the field of urban architecture around the world have already found out. Designers especially value the ability to thermoform Croswood material – after heating, the profiles can be bent; once the material cools down, it retains the shape it was given, opening up a wide range of possibilities and allowing the creation of modern, subtle shapes as semi-circular benches, arches, decorative elements or railing.
